Grand Haven, Michigan (September 1, 2021) – The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) continues to emphasize the importance of Total Worker Health®.  NIOSH has the goal to protect workers by combining injury prevention with employee wellness efforts.

At the 2021 Safety, Security & Human Resources (SSHR) National Conference in Indianapolis, Drew Bossen will co-present a session titled “Understanding the benefits of Total Worker Health® and how it can be paid with pre-tax dollars” on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 2:00PM.
Bossen is an Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions Executive Vice President, and over the past 30 years has worked with companies across the country, large and small, providing highly effective solutions to combat work-related injuries and improve employee wellness.

Bossen’s presentation will show how a proactive holistic approach deployed within one of the nation’s most challenging work environments, transportation, reduced work-related injuries by ensuring employees were are at their healthiest condition possible.  In addition, the presentation will show how a savings in medical services spend can pay for proactive injury prevention services.

Although the presentation will be based on a transportation case study, Bossen says the principles discussed apply to any work environment, and he will provide real world solutions that have demonstrated substantial payback.

“A Total Worker Health® approach toward injury prevention has proven to be successful in all types of work environments and organizations, and is something every employer should consider” says Bossen.
