How does our Soft Tissue Management (STM) Program compare to the competitors? We are confident you will find our soft tissue massage service provides a better price point, better results, and as part of our Early Intervention solutions, better outcomes. At Atlas we have seen soft tissue massage, as one component of a workplace Early Intervention (EI) program, can help an employer effectively address 90 - 95% of musculoskeletal pain and discomfort without medical treatment or a recordable injury. Awkward positions, highly repetitive work, age-related degeneration, or plain old overexertion injuries can be overcome or slowed by providing first aid care early on and soft tissue massage is one component of our broader EI program designed to keep employees injury free and on the job. |

Continuing our commitment to help educate employers on ways to avoid work-related injuries, Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions is pleased to announce our attendance and speaking session at the American Trucking Association’s 2022 Safety, Security & Human Resources National Conference, in Orlando, FL, this coming April. |
|
Our session, Legally Avoid Hiring your Next Injury, headed by Nick Menke, ATC and Manager at Atlas, along with employment and labor law attorney Albert Lee, P.C., will explore how post-offer pre-employment physical ability screens has been proven to significantly reduce new hire injuries, especially with drivers, warehouse and delivery employees. Nick will showcase several industry case studies and show how the data clearly shows the more physically demanding the work, the quicker and greater the savings.
Even with proven savings, fleets may shy away from this practice due to legal risk, such as those presented by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Equal Opportunity Employment requirements. Albert will show how legal risks can be eliminated if an employer understands the process required to create a compliant and defensible program.

Worker Well-being on the Job
Excelling at safety means making worker well-being a priority on the job site.
Some workers embody the "too tough to worry about it" mentality, with the attitude that nothing terrible could happen to them, and discussions of wellbeing can seem out of place. The common perception is that seasoned workers should be able to handle health and emotional issues, bravely soldiering on until the work has ended.
The truth is that health and wellbeing are important for all workers, regardless of their industry. Many companies, specifically construction, need to shake off the old perceptions and start taking a proactive approach in managing and protecting the wellbeing of its workforce. Aligning strategies found in the NIOSH Total Worker Health ™ (TWH) approach makes perfect business sense.
Total Worker Health ™ (TWH) is defined as policies, programs, and practices that integrate protection from work-related safety and health hazards with promotion of injury and illness prevention efforts to advancing worker well-being.
We have always known hands on work to be physically and mentally demanding. We can no longer sit back and watch chronic injuries and illnesses force many experienced laborers to retire early, change professions, or increase safety risks due to the health status of the workforce. A growing body of evidence suggests that significant benefits can occur when health and safety are integrated; that’s why the most successful programs are those that blend a holistic approach to form a continuum that can lead to a true culture of health and safety.
