Grand Haven, Michigan (February 3, 2020) – Continuing our commitment to help educate employers on ways to avoid work-related injuries, Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions is pleased to announce Director, Kris Corbett, will present at the Construction Users Round Table (CURT) National Conference.  The conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand in Chandler, Arizona, February 10-12, 2020.  The session is titled “Construction Risks and Solutions for a Healthy and Safe Project” and will occur on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 2:45pm.

Over the past 20 years Kris Corbett has worked with construction companies across the country providing effective injury prevention and wellness solutions to combat work-related injuries.  Joining Kris, is Keith Ledwith, Senior Manager of large capital projects with Johnson & Johnson.  

During the session Kris and Keith will discuss a customized safety construction program designed to combat industry risks while teaching strategies that can be used for a healthier, safer, and more productive worksite. Topics covered will include:

• An overview of the latest construction safety statistics
• Strategies to impact health and safety trends the industry is facing
• How to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses for an aging workforce
• Coaching methods to address worker well-being and physical and emotional risks

The session will explore programs and results from a large capital project that wanted to make an impact on project safety while extending the company’s safety mission to those working on the job site.

“The construction industry is faced with many challenges: physically demanding work, increased risk for workplace injuries, along with a rising substance abuse and emotional health crisis,” says Kris Corbett. “We need to begin looking at additional resources for our projects that include a proactive approach to make an impact on the industry health and well-being of its workers.”
