GRAND HAVEN, Michigan, November 22, 2006 –Atlas Ergonomics, LLC, specialists in reducing work-related injuries and related costs, will share another year of documented breakthroughs in real-world ergonomics at the National Ergonomics Conference and Exposition, November 27 through 30, 2006 in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday, November 28, Atlas ergonomic services director David Brodie will offer an introductory to intermediate workshop titled “How to Perform Accurate Office Ergonomics Assessments.” This practical, experience-based session will introduce a systematic approach for identifying and collecting key information; a process for determining needed improvements; and effective, affordable ways to train employees on proper positioning and product use.
The single largest factor affecting the comfort of office workers is their understanding of how to use furniture and other products that affect body mechanics. On Thursday, November 30, Atlas founder Drew Bossen will address this hot topic in “Reducing Risk: Ergonomic Product Knowledge in Offices & Call Centers,” covering the relationship between product knowledge and discomfort in the office, and how to increase that knowledge in a way proven to reduce risks to workers. Later on Thursday, Bossen will lead a luncheon discussing “Overcoming Challenges in Large Scale Office Ergonomics.”
In addition, Atlas will share information throughout the conference at its booth, #337. Atlas speakers Drew Bossen and David Brodie will be available at the Atlas Ergonomics booth during exhibition hours. Conference attendees are invited to meet them there and ask questions. Bossen, an Atlas’ founder, is a licensed physical therapist with an MBA, who has helped large companies reduce injury-related costs by as much as 86%. Brodie, Atlas’ Director of Ergonomic Services, is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist with 15 years of experience and two degrees in kinesiology.
