Atlas Experts to Share Key Strategies to Reduce Workplace Injury Risk

Grand Haven, MIJun 2, 2008— Atlas Ergonomics, LLC, specialists in reducing work-related injuries and related costs, will share their latest findings on workplace ergonomics at the American Society of Safety Engineers national conference, June 9 through 12, 2008 in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday, June 11, Atlas founder Drew Bossen will lead a session titled "The World is Not Flat: Controlling Workplace Risk." Bossen will discuss the interventional matrix Atlas developed to control industrial workplace injuries, and offer a "road map" of interventions employers can use to complement an effective ergonomics program. Also on Wednesday, Atlas ergonomic services director David Brodie will offer an introductory-to-intermediate workshop titled "Ergonomics Risk Assessment: Determining When, Why, and How You Should Perform One." Brodie will present information on the uses and benefits of several industry-accepted ergonomics risk assessment tools. The session will use Atlas case studies to help safety professionals decide how to approach an ergonomics problem.

In addition to presenting at the conference, Atlas speakers Drew Bossen and David Brodie will be available to share information during exhibition hours. Conference attendees are invited to meet and speak with them in Booth #369.

Bossen, an Atlas founder, is a licensed physical therapist with an MBA. He has helped large companies reduce injury-related costs by as much as 86%. Brodie, Atlas' Director of Ergonomic Services, is a board-certified Professional Ergonomist with 13 years of experience and two degrees in kinesiology.
