GRAND HAVEN, Mich., May 6, 2013 — Employers implementing and running ergonomic programs face pressing, economic and efficiency challenges. Proven strategies such as hiring job-appropriate workers, ending duplication of effort and focusing on high risk conditions across geographically dispersed workforces will reduce hazards effectively and cost-efficiently throughout an organization.
Tony Silva, CPE, Atlas Ergonomics' Director of Ergonomics Services, will share effective ways to implement these strategies in three presentations on Thursday morning, May 23 at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition (AIHce). These professional sessions will share well-documented knowledge gained through Atlas experience serving large employers in the manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare industries, as well as many office-based settings.
From 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., Silva will present "Don't Hire Your Next Injury: Benefits of Pre-Employment Screening. From 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., the topic will be "Eliminating Duplication of Effort in Your Ergonomics and Injury Management Processes." The third presentation, from 9:30 to 10 a.m., will be "Office Ergonomics Solution for a Geographically Dispersed Work Force."
The presentations will take place at the Palais des congres de Montreal at 1001 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle in Montreal, Canada. For more information on the conference, visit aihce2013.org.
