GRAND HAVEN, Mich. and TAMPA, Fla., August 27, 2012 — Atlas Ergonomics and Guldmann, Inc. have joined forces to improve the effectiveness, outcomes and operations of Safe Patient Handling Programs (SPH). The alliance combines Atlas's proven, data-driven, risk assessment and program operations software with Guldmann's world-class lifting and handling technology.
In addition to lifting and handling equipment with integrated CareLift Management (CLM) software, Guldmann™ now offers its customers AtlasGuide™ web-based software at partner status pricing.
AtlasGuide™ provides the most comprehensive SPH assessment and operation metrics available, with data on incident rates and costs, patient dependency levels, employee discomfort, SPH competency and attitudes, equipment use behavior and obstacles to correct usage. This information is provided in an easy-to-understand online "dashboard" featuring both individual and staff data for SPH program committee review.
Meanwhile, Guldmann's GH3 ceiling lift with CLM software provides real-time usage data, allowing for proactive intervention when expectations for usage are not met. Further, CLM data reveals which departments and shifts usage require SPH committee attention, focusing corrective education where it is needed rather than squandering time and resources on re-training departments and staff who are performing well.
According to Guldmann spokesperson Patricia Mechan, "An important benefit of AtlasGuide™ is its analysis of risk and ongoing program metrics, which directly reflect individual and facility conditions. This frees the facility and SPH committee from having to rely on external assessments. Instead, they have full control of their own SPH 'report card,' which they can update at any time."
"This alliance brings employers unprecedented ways to measure the success of both their choices and the changes that follow," Atlas Ergonomics founder Jim Landsman said. "The best run businesses know that if you want performance to change, you need to measure it. We help make doing so simple and easy."
Inquiries on AtlasGuide software at special Guldmann partner pricing should be addressed to knowledge@guldman.net. Information is also available at (800) 664-8834.
