(November 1, 2023) – Advancing our commitment to help reduce work-related injuries, Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions (www.atlas-ips.com) is pleased to announce our 15th consecutive year of presenting at the National Ergo Conference at the Caesars Forum, November 8-10, 2023.
Kris Corbett, Atlas IPS Director, will lead a session titled The Industrial Athlete – Trends and Case Study on November 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM PST.
Kris will share her experience from over 25 years of keeping industrial athletes healthy and productive through proven risk reduction methods. She will review how successful safety programs rarely use a one prong approach to reducing employee injury risk. Kris will present her findings from Atlas IPS client Kraft Heinz, and how a rise in injury rates and employee turnover, especially among new hires, needed a multi-prong approach to engaged and address these problems.
As with many employers, repetitive and demanding work tasks can be hard on a person’s body. Using solutions that include ergonomic assessments, physical ability screens, early intervention, and proactive coaching helped this manufacturing site drive down their injury rate. “Kraft Heinz’s objective was simple,” says Corbett. “The goal was to have their employees go home at the end of the day feeling the same, if not better than how they felt coming into work.”
Kris will present best practices and outcomes of this successful Industrial Athlete Program that will include:
- Reviewing the most pressing ergonomic, health, and wellness issues facing the workforce.
- Exploring strategies to encourage and engage your employees to think like an athlete and the benefits that will be seen.
- Follow Kraft Heinz’s journey to combat musculoskeletal injuries and employee turnover through solutions that include ergonomic assessments, physical ability screens, early intervention, wellness, and mindfulness.
