Grand Haven, Michigan (August 7, 2017) – Continuing our commitment to provide exceptional injury prevention and safety results, Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions (www.atlas-ips.com) is pleased to announce our ergonomics experts will present a number of key sessions at the National Ergonomics Conference & Ergo Expo at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, August 22-25, 2017.

Experts Drew Bossen, PT, MBA and executive vice president, and Tony Silva, CPE and director, and Curt DeWeese, PT and director, will lead a number of sessions during the conference.

Bossen, a physical therapist with over 30 years of experience in injury prevention and treatment protocol development, has expertise in on-site clinical services, ergonomics and wellness strategies, and compliance.

Silva is a Certified Professional Ergonomist with over 20 years of experience. Silva’s knowledge set includes ergonomics program development, communication and implementation, with specialization in the integration of ergonomics into existing business practices such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

DeWeese is a 25-year industry veteran in treating work-related musculoskeletal injuries who has worked onsite in manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, and office environments and has designed several injury prevention programs.

Job Demands to Ergo Risk Assessment to Return to Work — How It All Fits
Tuesday, August 22, 2017: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Room: Champagne 3-4

Together with Tony Silva, Drew Bossen will lead this half-day workshop in implementing programs that ensure the best outcomes. Attendees will learn how to complete a job demand analysis, and how to use it to conduct an ergonomic risk assessment and return-to-work program for employees with restrictions.

Legal Considerations of Pre-Work Screening
Wednesday, August 23, 2017: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM Room: Champagne 1

Bossen will participate in this session designed to help attendees understand the issues involved in designing and implementing pre-work screens and return-to-work screens. By reviewing case studies, attendees will see the importance of understanding legal risks, and see real-world positive outcomes and consequences.

Progression of Wells Fargo’s Office Ergonomics Process — Results
Wednesday, August 23, 2017: 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM Room: Versailles 3-4

Silva will co-present this session, which walks attendees through a tiered approach to a sustainable office ergonomics process, implemented by Wells Fargo. Silva will show the approach the company used, which is based upon the risk and needs of the work associate. Attendees will learn how to address ergonomic challenges, minimize errors in the recommendation process, and integrate feedback loops into the process to ensure issues have been addressed.

Lessons Learned: Overcoming Common Ergonomics Program
Thursday, August 24, 2017: 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM Room: Versailles 3-4

Attendees will learn how to overcome management objectives and get ergonomics program buy-in. DeWeese and Silva will address the following: gaining management and workforce buy-in, communicating across different facilities, identify risks, tracking and deploying resources, and establishing a return on investment. Attendees will come away with actionable strategies and methods of structuring programs that efficiently deploys and tracks resources, and ways to measure program success.
