Grand Haven, MISeptember 24, 2010—Atlas Ergonomics, LLC, nationally known specialists in reducing work-related injuries and related costs, will share its unique expertise and experience in managing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) at the National Safety Council Congress and Expo, October 3-8, 2010 in San Diego.

"MSDs are the most prevalent, costly injuries in American industry today," says Atlas ergonomic services director David Brodie. In an October 4 workshop, Brodie will present findings from various Atlas case studies showing the critical need for companies to manage these injuries and their costs – and how to do so -- from the first day on the job.

The introductory-to-intermediate workshop, titled "The Complete Ergonomics Program: Managing MSDs from Hire to Retire," will reveal "Where, when, and how to manage MSDs," Brodie says, adding that "An effective program has to go beyond typical ergonomics approaches and address the multiple sources of musculoskeletal problems."

In addition to the October 4 workshop, Atlas will share information throughout the conference. Speaker David Brodie and other Atlas experts will be available at the Atlas booth, #614, during exhibition hours. Conference attendees are invited to meet and speak with them there.
